Ricardo saved thousands with cleaning
Ricardo did amazing and cleaned the furnace's flame sensor. He also came the next day to spend four hours cleaning the blower and coils, so the furnace does not vibrate anymore. He also replaced a new furnace filter (16 x 25 x 1) since the incorrect filter size (14 x 25 x 1) made the furnace become extremely dirty. He adjusted to make sure the furnace filter stays on and showed the tenant how to properly place it. Absolute Air said the furnace needed to be replaced but Ricardo said the furnace just needed cleaning instead of being replaced. What a difference when we saw the before and after pictures. The owner was very happy to not spend thousands of dollars. A big thanks to Ricardo! He will be our technician again and again.

Update: Received a call Monday, the 16th. Gillette made the situation right. Communication was lacking in some areas, and that has been resolved. That said, potential customers should look at their service plans as a way to mitigate large repair costs, especially if you have an older system. Could be money well spent.
Initial impressions were good with Gillette. Unfortunately, 3 years into the new furnace, had problems with it. It was an easy fix and I figured they would be fair, like they had in the past. Nope, $240 for a 26-minute appointment to clean a flame sensor. If you use them, get the $79 diagnostic and then shop them around. Or, better yet, go somewhere else.
Fixed furnace and quality checked in 15 minutes. Didn't try to upsell me and treated me more than fair. Sticking with these guys from now on.
