Gillette Heating and Air Conditioning is a good company. They fix problems quickly and put customer satisfaction first. I installed a Carrier Heat Pump on 1/16/2024. Since my house was built in 1993, my thermostat only had 4 wires on the main floor. The new ecobee thermostat needs 8 wires. In order not to cut the drywall, the technician installed the thermostat in the basement and gave me a sensor, which can be adjusted on the main floor. I experienced a 59-degree cold first night. I called the company the next day. They sent an experienced technician to my house the next day to adjust the setting. It still wasn't working. The third time I called the company and told them I wanted to bring the thermostat to its original place on the main floor. They sent two technicians to come. The two spent a lot of time and figured out the best way to put the thermostat in its original location on the main floor by cutting off the drywall, which made my husband and myself very satisfied. Unfortunately, five days later the Heat Pump didn’t work again. After my phone call in the morning, the technician came around noon. This time she spent great effort to bring heat back by replacing the failed furnace pressure control. We are so happy and satisfied.

Saved $4k with Gillette Services
They provided a lot of information to me and answered my questions on a new AC/heat pump and furnace. They quoted and delivered what I wanted for around $4k less than the other company I quoted with. The dual fuel furnace/heat pump is awesome because when the outside temperature is above 40 F, then the heat pump outside runs in reverse and heats the home. The two-stage furnace and heat pump/AC first use only partial energy for about 15 minutes before more fuel is used. This lowers cost because it is not just full on or full off. Also, they told me I can pour concrete over my grass without needing to move the outdoor unit and that the metal feet are built to withstand a lot even if I just leave it as is. I did have a small issue with the unit after the installation but Gillette came out and spent two hours until they saw a wire was put in the wrong spot. Of course, that was covered by the warranty.

This company is so amazing to work with. Our air went down last Thursday afternoon, they were able to come out that day. We totally needed a new one. I had been worried about that, the one we had was pretty close to 20 years old. They scheduled an appointment for one of their sales professionals to come by early Friday morning. They were able to get us financed for a new heat pump (this is what we use for our air conditioning) at a really good and fair deal. I liked that I wasn't being railroaded or gouged. They couldn't install it until Monday, so they brought in a couple of portable air conditioning units for us so we didn't roast over the weekend. This was over and above to me. They came on Monday morning and installed the new one. This is a great company. Knowledgeable workers, they were on time, and did an awesome job. I would for sure use them again.
